Rafting on Ganga
 

Imagine lying on your back and floating down the Ganges, the Laxman jhoola towers over you and motley of pilgrims watch your lazy progress. Earlier in the day, you have dived into the Ganges from a rocky outcrop. Sat around a campfire on the sandy shores. Experienced the exhilaration of going through a grade 3 rapid. The feeling of the water splashing in to soak you still remains with you. Food never tasted this good after a hard day’s workout. Rafting down the Ganges- one of the most exciting and fun camps ever… highly recommended for those with a love for adventure sports.

Camp Programme (Summer'10) - PUNE DEPARTURE

Day 1

Pune campers to report at the main porch of Pune Railway station at 0315 hrs on the  morning of day 1.
Departure for Delhi at 0405 hrs by Goa Express ( train no 2779 ).
Day 2 Arrive at Nizamuddin at 0610 and proceed by bus to Rishikesh campsite. Briefing and orientation.
Overnight stay in tents.
Day 3 Early morning warm up and Meditation.
After breakfast - RAFTING (Shivpuri to Muni ki Reti -16 kms). Bodysurfing and Cliff Jump (25 ft.)
Beach Volleyball in the evening.
Day 4 Warm up session early in the morning.
After breakfast RAFTING (Marine Drive to Shivpuri – 12 kms). Rappelling in the evening.
Day 5 Trek in the morning. Afternoon at leisure. Games and campfire.
Day 6 Team activities in the morning followed by RAFTING (Marine Drive to Shivpuri to NIM – 28 km).
Lunch enroute. Attend evening Ganga Arti at Ramjhula. Shopping and dinner. Overnight at Haridwar.
Day 7 Depart by kalinga Utkal Express (no 8478) at 0600 hrs and arrive at Nizamuddin at 1140 hrs.
Pune campers will Board Goa Express (Train No. 2780) at 1505 hrs.
Day 8 Arrive at Pune Railway Station at 1620 hrs.

Day 1

Mumbai campers to report at Bandra Terminus at 1530 hrs.
Departure for Delhi at 1655hrs by Nizamuddin Garib Rath (2909) –AC chair car.
Day 2 Arrive at Nizamuddin at 1000 hrs and proceed by bus to Rishikesh campsite.
Briefing and orientation. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 3 Early morning warm up and Meditation.
After breakfast - RAFTING (Shivpuri to Muni ki Reti -16 kms). Bodysurfing and Cliff Jump (25 ft.)
