Rafting on Ganga
 

Imagine lying on your back and floating down the Ganges, the Laxman jhoola towers over you and motley of pilgrims watch your lazy progress. Earlier in the day, you have dived into the Ganges from a rocky outcrop. Sat around a campfire on the sandy shores. Experienced the exhilaration of going through a grade 3 rapid. The feeling of the water splashing in to soak you still remains with you. Food never tasted this good after a hard day’s workout. Rafting down the Ganges- one of the most exciting and fun camps ever… highly recommended for those with a love for adventure sports.

Camp Programme (Summer'12)

Day 1

Report at Main porch of Pune Railway station at 0630 hrs. Depart by Sampark Kranti 12629 at 0745.
Or report at Main porch of Pune Railway station at 1000 hrs. Depart by Duronto Rajdhani Express 12263 at 1110.
Day 2 Arrive at Nizamuddin at 0915 S.Kranti / 0715 Duronto. Proceed to Rishikesh by bus to reach campsite by 1800 hrs.
Day 3 After orientation and safety drill, experience the first thrill of rafting. Marine Drive to Shivpuri (12 km)
Beach volley ball in the evening.
Day 4 Warm up session early in the morning. Rafting Shivpuri to Munni ki Reti (16 km), Cliff Jump and Body Surfing.
Games and activities in the evening.
Day 5 Exciting final lap of 28 km of rafting, Marine Drive- Shivpuri –NIM. Experience the awesome Ganga aarti at Ramjhula.
Day 6 In the morning, proceed to Rishikesh for Bungee / Flying Fox / Giant Swing (chargeable)
After dinner drop to Haridwar station to board DDN AC express 12206 at 0035 hrs.
Day 7 Arrive at New Delhi at 0505 hrs. Depart by Duronto 12264 at 11 am (NZM) or Jhelum 11078 at 1005 (New Delhi).
Day 8 Arr Pune 0700 by Duronto or 1435 by Jhelum.
