Mudumalai and Ooty

Ooty is veritably the jewel of the south. The camp-site is located in the midst of verdant tea plantations. There is ample scope for adventure activities like trekking, walking on a balancing beam, river crossing, passing through tunnels made of barrels, and so forth. The next halt is Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary. Enjoy the jungle safari and say hello to elephants and gaurs, maybe even wild dogs. If you are lucky, you might even chance to see the Great Pied Hornbill on one of your walking trails. The flight of this bird is a sight to behold, you can distinctly hear the swoosh of the enormous wings.

15 May	22 May	Mumbai campers will report at Tilak Terminus, Kurla at 2130 hrs. Depart by Coimbtore Express (Train No.1013) at 2235 hrs.
16	23	Pune campers will report at the Main Porch of Pune Railway Station at 0045 hrs. Depart from Pune by Coimbtore Express (Train No.1013) at 0155 hrs.
17	24	Arrive Coimbtore at 0630 hrs and proceed by bus to Ooty for sight seeing. In the evening, check into the campsite nestled in the mountains. Orientation and overnight.
18	25	Treks, rappelling and adventure activities at the camp.
19	26	After breakfast proceed to jungle camp at Mudumalai. Briefing and evening trail.
20	27	Morning jungle ride in Mudumalai National Park to watch wild elephants, gaurs, samber, barking deer - - - Visit the elephant camp, talk to Mahouts, watch elephant training. Night trail and camp fire.
21 Fri	28 Fri	Birding trail in the morning. After lunch proceed to Mysore to board Swarna Jayanthi Express (2781) at 2010 hrs.
22	29	Arrive Pune Railway Station at 1600 hrs. Mumbai campers will proceed by Indrayani Express (1022) at 1835 hrs. Arrive Dadar 2133 and CSTM 2155 hrs.
