Manali Bhrugu Trek

 

This summer beat the heat and go trekking in the Himalayas. With the snow-clad mountains, the murmur of the Beas and the cool fresh air, Manali is a great place to be in. Explore your adventurous side on snow trails, rappelling and river-crossing. Trek through the flowering meadows and snowfields to the holy Bhrigu Lake at 14,000 feet. You will love our campsite of picturesque tents situated in an apple orchard off the bank of Beas. Our Instructors and volunteers will ensure your safety and liven up the atmosphere with games and activities. This camp helps you overcome fears, gain confidence and believe in yourself. From the time immemorial, Himalayas have brought out the best in human beings... we are sure this program will do it to you too!

Camp Programme (Summer'10) - PUNE DEPARTURE

Day 1

Pune campers to report at the Main Porch of Pune Railway Station at 1430 hrs.
Depart from Pune by NizamuddinExpress (Train No.2147) at 1600 hrs.
Day 2 Arrive Nizamuddin at 1700/1835 hrs and transfer to the AC bus for Manali.
Day 3 Arrive at Manali around 1200 hrs for lunch.
After briefing and orientation enjoy a hot water bath at Vashistha hot springs.
Day 4 Trek to Jogini waterfalls in the morning. Introduction to rappelling in the afternoon.
Day 5 Acclimatisation trek in the forest and visit to Manali village. Games and activities in the evening.
Day 6 Full day trek to Lammergeyer point for a bird’s view of the beautiful Kulu valley.
Day 7 Move to top camp at 10,000 ft. and settle down. Games and group activity in the afternoon.
Day 8 Acclimatisation trek/ snow craft/ nature walk.
Day 9 It’s the BIG TREK to BHRIGU LAKE at 14000 ft.
Day 10 Day 10 Descend to the base camp. After a hot water bath at Vashistha springs, prepare for the camp fire programmes.
Day 11 After packing in the morning, visit Manali town for shopping and fast food.
Depart for Delhi in the evening.
Day 12 Board Goa Express (Train No.2780) at 1500 hrs. at Nizamuddin Station.
Day 13 Arrive Pune at 1620 hrs. Please check the exact time of arrival with the railway authorities.

Camp Programme (Summer'10) - MUMBAI/PUNE DEPARTURE

Day 1

Mumbai campers to report at Mumbai Central Station at 2000 hrs.
Depart from Mumbai by Golden Temple Mail (2903) at 2125 hrs.
Day 2 Arrive Nizamuddin at 1830 hrs and transfer to the AC bus for Manali.
Day 3 Arrive at Manali around 1200 hrs for lunch.
After briefing and orientation enjoy a hot water bath at Vashistha hot springs.
Day 4 Trek to Jogini waterfalls in the morning. Introduction to rappelling in the afternoon.
