This summer beat the heat and go trekking in the Himalayas. With the snow-clad mountains, the murmur of the Beas and the cool fresh air, Manali is a great place to be in. Explore your adventurous side on snow trails, rappelling and river-crossing. You will love our campsite of picturesque tents situated in an apple orchard off the bank of Beas. Our Instructors and volunteers will ensure your safety and liven up the atmosphere with games and activities. This camp helps you overcome fears, gain confidence and believe in yourself. From the time immemorial, Himalayas have brought out the best in human beings... we are sure this program will do it to you too!

Camp Programme (Summer'12)

Day 1

Pune campers to report at Congress Bhavan at 1100 hrs sharp for transfer by bus to Bandra Terminus.
Mumbai reporting at 1600 hrs at Bandra Terminus. Depart by AC Garib Rath (12909) at 1655 hrs.
Day 2 Arrive Nizamuddin at 0955 hrs and transfer to the AC chartered bus for Manali at 1300 hrs.
Day 3 Arrive at Prini base camp for breakfast. Briefing and orientation. Tent allotment and issue of haversack, ponchos.
Discussion on ‘Leave no trace (LNT)’ way of camping.
Day 4 Trek (1.5 hrs) through pine forest to Thorku Dugh base camp at 2150M. Introduction to rock climbing and overnight.
Day 5 Warm up session followed by ‘Get over the fear’ activities like Rappelling and River Crossing.
Day 6 Sharpen your mountaineering skills, go on a high altitude trek to Tilgan at 2450 M. Return to camp in the evening.
Day 7 Trek back to Prini base camp. Enjoy an introductory rafting session at Kulu. Evening in the Manali market.
Day 8 Drive to Rohtang Pass / snow point to play in the snow. Depart for Delhi in the evening.
Day 9 Arrive at Nizamuddin to board Garib Rath (12910) at 1540 hrs.
Day 10 Arrive at Bandra Terminus at 0810 hrs. Arrive at Congress Bhavan, Pune at 1300 hrs.
