Hemkund Trek

Did you always dream of playing in the snow to your heart's content? Here is your chance to do exactly that- go for a hike in the Valley of Snow, make a snowman, have a snow fight and slide down the white blanketed slopes. Incidentally, Hemkund Sahib is the world's highest gurudwara, situated at an altitude of 4,329 mts. The Lokpal lake, on which the gurudwara is located, is a reflecting pool, mirroring the seven snow clad peaks and glaciers. On your way up, you will be trudging through forests of pine and rhododendron, making this a 'fragrantly' unforgettable experience.

Day 1	All campers to report at the main porch of Pune Railway station at 0315 hrs on the morning of Day 1. Departure for Delhi at 0405 hrs by Goa Nizamuddin Express ( train no 2779 ).
Day 2	Arrive in Delhi at 0610 hrs. Transfer to Rishikesh by bus. (225kms/ 6hrs). Overnight in hotel.
Day 3	Early morning proceed to Auli, a long (275km/9hrs) journey winding through mountain and valleys. Overnight in tents.
Day 4	In the morning transfer to Govind Ghat. Trek to Pulna (3 km/6400 ft). Briefing and group activities. Overnight in local dwellings.
Day 5	Trek 10 km (10090 ft) to Ghangria and overnight in dormitory.
Day 6	Acclimatisation trek, rappelling and river crossing at Laxman Ganga river. Overnight at Ghangria.
Day 7	Trek to Snow valley (Valley of Flowers in summer) 10 km / 12250 ft. Overnight at Ghangria.
Day 8	Trek to the holy lake of Hemkund, 12 km / 14500 ft. Overnight at Ghangria.
Day 9	Trek 14 km to Govind Ghat and proceed to Auli for the night.
Day 10	Proceed to Haridwar and overnight.
Day 11	Early morning depart for Nizamuddin by kalinga Utkal Express (no 8478) at 0600 hrs. Board Goa Express (Train No. 2780) at 1505 hrs.
Day 12	Arrive at Pune Railway Station at 1620 hrs. Please check the exact time of arrival with the railway authorities.

Day 1	All campers to report at the Bandra Terminus at 1015 hrs. Departure for Delhi at 1135 hrs by Paschim Express ( train no 2925 ).
Day 2	Arrive at Nizamuddin at 1027 hrs. Transfer to Rishikesh by bus. (225kms/ 6hrs). Overnight in hotel.
Day 3	Early morning proceed to Auli, a long (275km/9hrs) journey winding through mountain and valleys. Overnight in tents.
Day 4	In the morning transfer to Govind Ghat. Trek to Pulna (3 km/6400 ft). Briefing and group activities. Overnight in local dwellings.

Optional pony charges for luggage @ Rs 300 per bag (10 kg max) for 3 days.
