Anirudh Chaoji
A landscaper by profession, Anirudh is a committed environmentalist and practices what he preaches. He is an avid birdwatcher and a committed wild-lifer. With his tremendous passion for nature, Anirudh can turn a nature trail into a rewarding and memorable learning experience, where every plant, insect or bird starts communicating with you A morning trail in the forest with him is indeed a cherishable experience. He is deeply involved in ecological restoration and environmental education .Creating a habitat for migratory birds in a degraded limestone quarry in Saurashtra was one of his major projects. This project became a trend-setter as thousands of birds were attracted to these sites and later regularly used them for feeding and resting. He is a member of the state committee for Public Hearings on Industrial Pollution and spearheads the movement for Hospital Waste Management at the national level.

Usha Gupte
With 15 years’ of experience in Airlines and Travel Agency, Usha has visited several National Parks and sanctuaries in different parts of the world. Since the inception of Pugmarks She has been the Camp Mom for thousands of young campers. Volunteers feel free to confide in her while parents are comfortable in talking to her about the safety and wellbeing of the children.

Usha has also been working in the field of Environment Education and has translated and published eight books realated to Environmental studies.

As a voice over artist, Usha is doing the Role of the Radio Teacher in a programme called “We Learn English” which has been on All India Radio for over ten years. Students from several rural and urban schools have been listening to this programme and learning to communicate effectively in English.

She has lent her voice for several audio casetts for the benefit of hearing impaired students.

Anil Gupte
An Electrical Engineer from IIT, Powai. Anil has been passionate about exploring outdoors .During these explorations Anil realized that being with nature can bring about a positive outlook in one’s personality and the outdoors can change your complete attitude towards life. Anil always believed that our youth has the potential to work out wonders and with little training we could build up their personality to bring out their best. This belief has led him to design a Volunteer Training course which prepares young individuals to lead, to interact, to face and handle difficult situations, emergencies and gain tremendous confidence in one’s own self. Anil’s responsibilities involve planning camps, work out the logistics with detailed itineraries. And of course he takes care of the financial aspects.

Mrudul Mody
An M Tech from IIT, Mrudul is a consultant in the field of gold assaying and Hall marking. An avid trekker, he used to run a children’s activity centre as a hobby. Presently he is in charge of our Mumbai operations.

Tanvi Thatte
An engineering merit holder and MBA in Marketing, Tanvi heads the marketing wing of Pugmarks.

Monish Dave
An adventure specialist, Monish is in charge of trekking and adventure camping.

Naturalists-Resource persons :
All our tours are accompanied by first class naturalists. Professionally these people are engaged in field research - in botany, zoology, wildlife etc. and accompany our tours as experts. We owe popularity of our tours to this breed of professionals to a great extent.

The strength of PUGMARKS is its strong volunteer force. Talented youngsters enroll as volunteers and undergo regular training in various aspects of camp management. A senior volunteer commands lot of respect and admiration on the camp.
